North Manchester Social Networks Project - Seeking Research Participants

What is the study about?
Social networks are the connections between ourselves and the people that we know. Social network contacts can be friends, family, work mates, neighbours, people we see at the pub, at the gym or at the school gates.

Researchers at the Manchester Social Networks Project want to learn about the social networks of North Manchester residents and how these connections are arranged in and across neighbourhoods. The study will explore how who we know (social networks) and where we live (neighbourhoods) affects people's personal opportunities and well-being.

How can I get involved?
Anyone over the age of 16 living in North Manchester can take part in the study. The researchers want to hear from people with all sorts of network types, and they need lots of people to get involved in order to make the project findings realistic.

All you need to do is complete a short 5-10 minute questionnaire.
Click here to take the survey.

For further information, or to get in touch with the research team, please see below.

The Local Government Association has called for councils to be able to renegotiate targets during the previously planned 'refresh period', designed to tidy up original agreements.
